Thank you — that’s a part that’s stuck with me so strongly, even after leaving. I think about that disconnect a lot — how something so foundational, at least in how I was taught, has been set aside or even flipped completely in so many spaces. Maybe you’re right, it’s not just a “them” thing, but all of us, collectively losing sight of the values we once held onto. Makes me wonder what it would take to reclaim them — or if we have to build something entirely new.
